India to Ukraine visa requirements

Indian ordinary passport holders need an e-Visa to visit Ukraine for tourism. Ukraine relaunched its electronic visa for Indian nationals on 19 February 2025. Apply online before travel: single-entry US$20 or double-entry US$30, 30-day stay, €30,000 travel medical insurance required. As of 2026, Indian ordinary passport holders are NOT visa-free for Ukraine and must obtain an electronic visa (e-Visa) before arrival for tourism or short visits. Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs resumed e-Visa issuance for Indian citizens (among 45 eligible nationalities) on 19 February 2025. The e-Visa is issued as a single-entry (US$20) or double-entry (US$30) short-stay visa permitting up to 30 days in Ukraine. Applications are filed entirely online via the official MFA e-Visa portal (evisa.mfa.gov.ua), with non-urgent processing in about 3 working days and urgent processing in 1 working day. A mandatory requirement is valid travel medical insurance covering at least EUR 30,000 for the period of stay in Ukraine. Ukraine is NOT a member of the Schengen Area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do NOT apply to Ukraine. IMPORTANT travel-safety note: Ukraine remains under martial law due to the ongoing armed conflict, and most governments (including India) advise against travel; airspace is closed to civilian flights, so entry is generally via land borders. The e-Visa is the appropriate legal entry channel, but travelers should consult current security advisories before any trip.
