Do India passport holders need a visa to visit Türkiye?
Indian ordinary passport holders need a visa for Türkiye. A conditional single-entry e-Visa is available online only if you already hold a valid Schengen, US, UK or Ireland visa or residence permit; otherwise you must apply for a sticker visa at a Turkish mission. Türkiye is not visa-free for Indian citizens and abolished visa-on-arrival for India in 2014. The fastest route is the conditional e-Visa via the official portal evisa.gov.tr, but it is restricted: you must hold a valid visa or residence permit from a Schengen member state, the USA, the UK, or Ireland that is still valid when you enter Türkiye. This e-Visa is single entry, allows a stay of up to 30 days, costs about USD 43, and is valid for 180 days from issue. If you do not meet the supporting-visa condition, you must apply for an ordinary (sticker) tourist visa in person/by appointment through a Turkish embassy or consulate in India. Carry a passport valid at least 6 months beyond arrival with a blank page, confirmed return/onward tickets, accommodation proof, and proof of sufficient funds.

For guidance only — visa rules change with little notice. Always confirm directly with the destination's embassy or foreign ministry before booking non-refundable travel. Information here applies to ordinary (non-diplomatic) passports unless noted.
