🇮🇳India🇸🇧Solomon IslandsIN-SB India to Solomon Islands visa requirements
Indian passport holders need a visa (prior approval) before traveling to the Solomon Islands. India is on the Solomon Islands' restricted list, so citizens must obtain advance approval from the Director of Immigration before arrival - there is no automatic visa-free entry or visa-on-arrival for Indians. The Solomon Islands grants a free visitor permit on arrival (up to 3 months in any 12-month period) only to citizens of countries NOT on its restricted list. India is explicitly listed among the Asian nationalities that require prior approval from the Director of Immigration before entry, so Indian ordinary passport holders cannot simply arrive and receive a permit. Indian travelers must arrange a tourist visa / prior approval in advance. The official Solomon Islands Immigration Division offers a tourist visa valid for a 30-day single-entry stay (extendable up to 150 days), with applications currently processed in person in Honiara and an online payment/e-Visa channel described as "coming soon." Because there is no operational automatic visa-free or visa-on-arrival channel for Indian citizens and prior approval is mandatory, the correct verdict is visa-required. There is no Solomon Islands embassy in India; the Honorary Consulate in New Delhi and the Immigration Division assist with the prior-approval process. The Solomon Islands is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
