India to Oman visa requirements

Indian ordinary passport holders need an Oman eVisa for tourism. Apply online at the Royal Oman Police portal before you fly. A 14-day visa-free entry exists ONLY if you also hold a valid US, UK, Canada, Schengen, Australia or Japan visa/residence, or are a GCC resident in an eligible profession. As of 2026, India is not on Oman's unconditional visa-exempt list, and Oman no longer offers a general visa-on-arrival to Indian nationals. The standard route for an Indian ordinary passport holder visiting for tourism is the Tourist Visit Visa (Unsponsored) eVisa, obtained in advance through the official Royal Oman Police eVisa portal (evisa.rop.gov.om). Two main short-stay options exist: a 10-day single-entry visa (5 OMR) and a 30-day single-entry visa (20 OMR); a 1-year multiple-entry visa (50 OMR, 30 days per visit) is also available. Oman does operate a conditional 14-day visa-free entry, but for Indians it applies only to travelers who already hold a valid entry visa or residence permit from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Japan or a Schengen country, or who are GCC residents in an eligible profession; these travelers can enter visa-free with a valid passport, return ticket, hotel booking, health insurance and sufficient funds. Because the general Indian traveler does not automatically qualify for the visa-free channel, the conservative and correct default is the eVisa. Oman is not part of the Schengen area, so ETIAS and the Schengen 90/180 rule do not apply. Note an operational change: from 1 February 2026, the "OK to Board" requirement is dropped for passengers holding a valid QR-coded eVisa. Passports must be valid at least six months with two blank pages.
