India to Namibia visa requirements

Indian ordinary passport holders need a visa for Namibia and should obtain it before travel. India is NOT on Namibia's visa-on-arrival eligible list, so apply online via Namibia's e-Services portal (eservices.mhaiss.gov.na) or at the Namibian High Commission in New Delhi. Tourist visas allow stays of up to 90 days within a 3-month validity. As of 2026, ordinary Indian passport holders require a visa to enter Namibia for tourism. Although Namibia launched an online "Visa-on-Arrival" / e-Visa system on 1 April 2025 (expanded again in October 2025), India is NOT among the nationalities eligible to obtain a visa on arrival at the border. The official Visit Namibia and Ministry of Home Affairs (MHAISS) guidance directs Indian travelers to apply for a visa in advance through the e-Services portal at eservices.mhaiss.gov.na, or through the Namibian High Commission in New Delhi. The e-Visa fee for non-African travelers is NAD 1,600 (approximately USD 90-93); a consular tourist visa from the High Commission costs about INR 3,000 (single entry) or INR 6,000 (multiple entry). Tourist visas are valid for up to three months from issue and permit stays of up to 90 days from entry, extendable in Windhoek. Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond entry with at least three blank pages. Diplomatic and official Indian passport holders are exempt from visa requirements for stays up to 90 days, but this does NOT apply to ordinary passports. Because India is not on the VoA list, travelers should never rely on getting a visa at the airport; the verdict is eVisa (apply online in advance). Sources consulted conflict on whether biometrics force an in-person High Commission visit, so allow extra lead time and confirm via the official portal before booking.
