India to Kuwait visa requirements

Indian ordinary passport holders need a visa for Kuwait but can apply online for a tourist eVisa through Kuwait's official Ministry of Interior portal. There is no visa-free or general visa-on-arrival channel for a standard Indian passport. A holder of an ordinary Indian passport requires a visa to enter Kuwait for tourism. Since Kuwait relaunched its electronic visa platform in July 2025 under Vision 2035, Indian nationals can apply directly online for a tourist eVisa without a sponsor or embassy visit, in most cases. The base government fee is KWD 3, and effective 23 December 2025 the Ministry of Interior added a KD 10 per-month entry/visit-visa fee, so total cost scales with the length of stay requested. Processing typically takes 1-3 business days (sometimes faster). The eVisa is normally single-entry, requires entry within 30 days of issuance, and permits a stay of up to 90 days from the date of entry. Note an important caveat repeated across sources: some Indian applicants without a GCC residence permit or a valid US/UK/Schengen visa or residence permit have historically faced restrictions on the simplified eVisa, so eligibility should be confirmed on the official portal before booking travel. There is no visa-free entry and no general visa-on-arrival for ordinary Indian passport holders (VoA applies mainly to those holding a qualifying GCC residence permit). Passport must be valid at least six months. Conservatively, the route is best classified as visa-required, served through the official eVisa channel.
