India to Kyrgyzstan visa requirements
Indian passport holders need an e-Visa to visit Kyrgyzstan for tourism. Apply online via the official Kyrgyz government portal (evisa.e-gov.kg) before you travel. There is no visa-on-arrival for Indians, and the 7-day visa-free arrangement for US/UK/Schengen visa holders applies only to Chinese citizens, not Indians. As of mid-2026, Indian ordinary passport holders must obtain a Kyrgyzstan e-Visa before arrival for short tourist visits. Kyrgyzstan consolidated its categories into a single unified "Sapar" e-Visa system in January 2025, applied for entirely online at the official portal evisa.e-gov.kg. The standard single-entry tourist e-Visa costs about USD 30 (plus any service/bank charges), permits a stay of up to 30 days, and is typically processed within 5 working days. Applicants need a passport valid at least 6 months with blank pages, a digital passport bio-page scan, and a passport-style photo; the approved visa is delivered by email and presented (printed or digital) on arrival. India is NOT on Kyrgyzstan's unilateral visa-free list, there is no visa-on-arrival channel for Indians, and the often-cited 7-day visa-free entry for holders of valid US/UK/Schengen visas is a China-specific provision that does not extend to Indian passport holders. Kyrgyzstan is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS are irrelevant here. Given there is no confirmed no-visa channel for Indians, the e-Visa is the correct route.
