India to Gabon visa requirements

Indian ordinary passport holders need a visa for Gabon and must obtain it in advance as an e-Visa through Gabon's official DGDI portal (evisa.dgdi.ga). There is no visa-free entry and no genuine visa-on-arrival: the entry authorization must be approved online before departure, after which the visa is issued at Léon Mba International Airport in Libreville. The standard short-stay e-Visa costs EUR 70 (about 45,000 XAF) for a 1-3 month single entry, traditionally paid in cash on arrival, though Gabon began rolling out online prepayment in late 2025. As of 2026, India ordinary passport holders are NOT eligible for visa-free entry to Gabon. They must apply online for a Gabon e-Visa (entry authorization) via the official Direction Generale de la Documentation et de l'Immigration (DGDI) portal at evisa.dgdi.ga before traveling. The e-Visa is only valid for entry by air through Léon Mba International Airport in Libreville. After the online approval (typically within roughly 72 hours), the physical visa is issued on arrival; historically the fee has been collected in cash at the airport, but Gabon's Ministry of Digital Economy began integrating electronic prepayment into the portal from December 2025. The standard tourist/short-stay option is a single-entry visa valid for a stay of up to 30 days within a 1-3 month visa window, priced at EUR 70 (approximately 45,000 XAF), with a multiple-entry 6-month option at EUR 185. A temporary free tourist e-Visa promotion ran only July 1 to September 30, 2025 (the "Caravane Touristique") and is no longer available. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory for entry. Travelers should apply only through the official portal and avoid third-party agency sites that add markups. Gabon is in Central Africa and is not part of the Schengen area, so Schengen and ETIAS rules do not apply.
