India to Bosnia and Herzegovina visa requirements

Indian ordinary passport holders need a visa to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina for tourism. There is no eVisa and no visa-on-arrival for Indian citizens; you apply for a short-stay (type C) visa at the BiH Embassy in New Delhi. Important exception: if you already hold a valid MULTIPLE-ENTRY Schengen, EU, US or UK visa (or residence permit), you may enter BiH without a BiH visa for a continuous stay of up to 30 days, within the 90-days-in-180 limit. Bosnia and Herzegovina is not part of the Schengen Area or the EU, so neither the Schengen 90/180 rule nor ETIAS applies to entering BiH itself. India is not on BiH's visa-free list, and BiH does not offer an eVisa or visa-on-arrival to Indian nationals. Under this exemption the continuous stay may not exceed 30 days, and total stay may not exceed 90 days in any 180-day period, and only while that foreign visa/permit remains valid. Because the default channel for an Indian passport (with no such third-country visa) is a pre-arranged consular visa, the verdict is visa-required. Travelers relying on the Schengen/US/UK exemption must ensure the visa is genuinely multiple-entry and valid for the whole BiH trip.
