Israel to Kenya visa requirements

Israeli ordinary passport holders need an approved electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) before flying to Kenya. There is no visa-on-arrival or visa-free channel for Israeli citizens; the eTA must be obtained online and approved before boarding. As of 2026, Kenya requires citizens of Israel to hold an approved electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) before travelling for tourism or short visits. Kenya abolished its old visa system and replaced it with the eTA in January 2024, then in May 2025 expanded eTA exemptions to nearly all African nations and a list of selected countries. Israel is NOT on the exemption list, so Israeli passport holders must apply for the eTA. The application is fully online via the official portal etakenya.go.ke. The eTA costs about USD 32.50 (a roughly USD 30 government fee plus a small processing/bank charge), is single-entry, and permits a stay of up to 90 days. It is typically processed within 3 working days, though authorities recommend applying at least 2 weeks before travel. The approval is delivered by email and must be printed or saved to show on boarding and at the Kenyan border. Final admission is always at the discretion of the immigration officer at the port of entry. Kenya is in East Africa and is not part of the Schengen area, so no Schengen 90/180 rule or ETIAS applies.
