Indonesia to Yemen visa requirements

Indonesian ordinary passport holders need a visa to enter Yemen. There is no visa-free entry and no visa on arrival for Indonesians. Yemen launched an eVisa portal in June 2025, but tourist access is currently limited to accredited group-tour applications (minimum 10 travelers), and a physical sticker visa must still be collected from a Yemeni embassy or consulate. Independent tourism is effectively not available. Note: most governments, including Indonesia's, advise against all travel to Yemen due to armed conflict. As of mid-2026, a citizen of Indonesia holding an ordinary passport must obtain a visa before traveling to Yemen for tourism or a short visit. Yemen does not grant visa-free entry to Indonesians and does not include Indonesia among the roughly 11 countries (mostly Gulf and neighboring Arab states) eligible for visa on arrival. Yemen's Immigration, Passports and Nationality Authority (IPNA) launched an electronic visa system at yemenevisa.org on 24 June 2025, developed with IOM support. However, the tourist track is restricted to applications filed by accredited travel agencies for groups of at least 10 people with confirmed round-trip tickets; individual leisure tourism is not currently served. Even where an eVisa is approved, a sticker visa generally must still be collected from a Yemeni diplomatic mission, so practical issuance routes go through the Embassy of the Republic of Yemen in Jakarta. Because the available channels are restrictive and conditional, and because sources do not confirm a clean individual tourist e-visa for Indonesians, the conservative and correct verdict is visa-required. Travelers should also be aware that Yemen is in active armed conflict; airports and consular services are severely disrupted, and Indonesia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and most governments advise against all travel.
