Indonesia to Vanuatu visa requirements

Indonesian ordinary passport holders are NOT on Vanuatu's visa-exemption list, so they must obtain a Visitor Visa (eVisa) online before travelling. Apply through the official Vanuatu eVisa portal (evisa.gov.vu) for a single-entry stay of up to 30 days. Vanuatu grants visa-free entry of up to 120 days to a long list of nationalities (Australia, New Zealand, the EU, UK, US, Canada, Malaysia and many others), but Indonesia is NOT included on that visa-exempted list, as confirmed by Vanuatu's Department of Immigration & Passport Services, the Vanuatu Tourism Office, and Wikipedia's visa policy of Vanuatu. Indonesian tourists therefore need a Visitor Visa, which Vanuatu issues electronically (eVisa) through its official portal at evisa.gov.vu. The Visitor Visa is a single-entry permit for stays of up to 30 days, intended for tourism, visiting friends/family, or short business meetings. Applicants upload their passport bio page, a confirmed onward/return ticket and proof of accommodation, pay the application charge (around 7,420 VUV; the immigration visitor-visa fee is quoted at about 5,150 VUV depending on channel), and receive a decision in roughly 3-5 working days. The passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay with at least one blank page. Vanuatu is not in the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply. Because Indonesia falls outside the exemption list and entry through any no-visa channel could not be confirmed, the verdict is eVisa (obtain before travel). Travelers should always re-verify directly with the Vanuatu eVisa portal, as policies can change.
