Do Indonesia passport holders need a visa to visit Thailand?

Visa-free up to 30 days under ASEAN reciprocity. TDAC mandatory before arrival. Indonesian ordinary passport holders enter Thailand visa-free for up to 30 days per entry under the ASEAN reciprocal visa exemption agreement. The exemption covers tourism, business meetings, and family visits. Note that while Thailand temporarily granted 60-day visa-exempt stays to many nationals under the 2024 visa policy expansion, the ASEAN reciprocal arrangement with Indonesia remains at the standard 30 days. All foreign visitors must complete the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) within 3 days before arrival, which replaced the paper TM6 form from 1 May 2025. Indonesia-Thailand travel is dominated by Bali → Bangkok/Phuket leisure circuits and family/religious visits. For work, study, journalism, or stays beyond 30 days the corresponding Thai visa is required at the embassy in Jakarta.
