Indonesia to Chad visa requirements

Indonesian ordinary passport holders need a visa to enter Chad and must obtain it as an eVisa through the official evisa.td platform. Since 11 May 2026, the eVisa is the only accepted method — paper and on-arrival authorizations are no longer issued, and from 21 May 2026 any visa not issued through evisa.td is invalid for entry. Indonesia is not on Chad's visa-exemption list, so a tourist visa is required. Chad launched its electronic visa system (evisa.td, "e-Visa Tchad") on 11 December 2024 and made it mandatory and exclusive for all ordinary travelers from 11 May 2026, abolishing manual entry authorizations and the previous letter-of-authorization visa-on-arrival route. Indonesian travelers must therefore apply online before departure. The single-entry tourist eVisa is generally valid for 30 days with a stay of up to 30 days, costs roughly USD 100-107 (plus a small service fee), and is processed in about 3-10 business days. Required documents include a passport valid at least 6 months with two blank pages, a passport photo, confirmed hotel booking, and a return/onward ticket. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required if arriving from or transiting a yellow-fever risk country. Conservatively, allow at least two weeks before travel; applications must be filed no earlier than 90 days and at least 7 days before arrival. Chad is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
