Indonesia to Saudi Arabia visa requirements

Indonesian ordinary passport holders need a visa before traveling to Saudi Arabia for tourism. Indonesia is NOT on the direct Saudi tourist eVisa eligibility list, so most travelers must apply for a tourist visa through a Saudi embassy, consulate, or authorized visa center in Indonesia before departure. Important exception: if you hold a valid, already-used US, UK, or Schengen tourist/business visa (with an entry stamp), or GCC residence, you can instead use the online eVisa or get a visa on arrival. As of mid-2026, Indonesian passport holders are classified as "visa required" for Saudi Arabia and are not among the ~66 nationalities eligible for the standalone Saudi tourist eVisa. The default route for Indonesian tourists is a tourist visa obtained in advance from the Royal Saudi Embassy in Jakarta or an authorized visa service. A faster eVisa/visa-on-arrival channel exists only as a conditional shortcut: Indonesians who already hold a valid (and previously used) US, UK, or Schengen tourist or business visa, or who are GCC residents, may apply online for the eVisa or obtain a visa on arrival for stays up to 90 days. The Saudi tourist visa is generally a 1-year multiple-entry visa permitting up to 90 days per stay and a total of 90 days within any 180-day (or 12-month) window; the online eVisa costs around SAR 535 (about USD 140) including mandatory insurance, while embassy/sticker visa costs vary by service provider. Travelers should also note that during Hajj season Saudi Arabia periodically suspends or restricts certain visit visas for a small group of nationalities, and a tourist visa cannot be used to perform Hajj. Always confirm current status before booking.
