Indonesia to Liberia visa requirements

Indonesian passport holders need a visa for Liberia. Because Indonesia is not visa-exempt and has no Liberian embassy, travelers use Liberia's official Electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VOA), applied for online before departure and collected at Roberts International Airport, Monrovia. An Indonesia ordinary passport holder is not visa-exempt for Liberia (only ECOWAS members plus Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger enjoy visa-free entry). Liberia launched an Electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VOA) system on 11 March 2025, run by the Liberia Immigration Service. The catch is that nationals of countries that host a Liberian diplomatic mission (e.g. China, Japan, the US, UK, France, Germany, Egypt, South Africa) must apply at that embassy and cannot use the e-VOA portal. Indonesia has no Liberian embassy and is not on the embassy-required exclusion list, so Indonesian travelers should apply through the official online portal (visaonarrival.lis.gov.lr) before flying. The application must be submitted at least 7 days before travel and no more than 3 months in advance; the approval lets you collect the visa on arrival at Roberts International Airport (ROB) in Monrovia, the only port where e-VOA is currently issued. The fee is USD 102.50 (non-refundable), payable by Visa or Mastercard. Approval is valid for 3 months for entry; the visa sticker granted on arrival typically allows 30 or 90 days of stay as set by the immigration officer. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for entry to Liberia. Because this is functionally an online application that produces an authorization to be issued a visa at the airport, the best single fit for a short tourist stay is an e-visa channel. Travelers should always reconfirm fees and eligibility on the official portal shortly before booking.
