Indonesia to Guyana visa requirements

Indonesian ordinary passport holders need a visa for Guyana. Guyana's 30-day visa-free exemption for Indonesia applies only to Diplomatic and Service passports, not ordinary ones. Ordinary travelers must obtain an approval letter from Guyana's Ministry of Home Affairs (applied online via the iss.gov.gy eServices portal) and then receive the visa on arrival, valid for up to 30 days. Guyana does grant visa-free entry to some Indonesian passport holders, but per the official Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Guyana visa list, this 30-day exemption is restricted to holders of Diplomatic and Service passports. Holders of an ordinary (regular) Indonesian passport traveling for tourism are NOT in the visa-exempt category and must secure a visa. The practical route is the visa-on-arrival channel: travelers who are not visa-exempt apply online through Guyana's Immigration Support Services eServices portal (iss.gov.gy) to obtain an approval letter (sometimes described as an eVisa approval) from the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the visa itself is then issued and paid for at the port of entry for a stay of up to 30 days, which is extendable. Some commercial sites incorrectly state Indonesia is broadly visa-free for 30 days; that claim conflicts with the official Guyanese source, which limits the exemption to Diplomatic/Service passports. Following the conservative standard, ordinary passport holders should plan on the visa-on-arrival/approval-letter process. A passport valid at least six months beyond the intended stay and proof of onward travel are required.
