Indonesia to Congo (Rep.) visa requirements

Indonesian ordinary passport holders need a visa to enter the Republic of the Congo (Congo-Brazzaville). There is no visa-free entry, no visa on arrival, and no reliably operational e-visa for Indonesians. You must apply in advance at a Congolese embassy or consulate, and a yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory for entry. The Republic of the Congo (CG, capital Brazzaville) requires Indonesian ordinary passport holders to obtain a visa before travel. Congo grants visa-free access only to a handful of Central African neighbours (Cameroon, CAR, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon) with biometric passports, and visa-on-arrival to a limited list of mostly West/North African and a few other states (Benin, Burkina Faso, Cote d'Ivoire, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Rwanda, Senegal, Togo, UAE). Indonesia is on neither list, so the standard embassy/consular visa route applies. Although Congo has periodically announced an electronic visa, no dependable, generally available e-visa channel exists for Indonesian tourists as of mid-2026, so travelers should default to the consular process. The Republic of the Congo is in Central Africa and is not part of the Schengen Area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. A tourist visa is typically issued for a single or multiple entries with stays of up to 90 days, and applicants must show a passport valid 6+ months, photos, a hotel booking or invitation letter, return/onward tickets, proof of funds, and an International Certificate of Vaccination showing yellow fever immunization, which is checked at the border. Indonesia has no resident Congolese embassy; applications are commonly handled through the nearest accredited mission (for example in Beijing, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur regional coverage, or Paris/Brussels), so confirm jurisdiction before applying and allow extra time for shipping documents.
