As of 31 May 2026, a United Kingdom ordinary passport holder requires a visa to enter Pakistan for tourism, and the appropriate channel is the online tourist eVisa issued through the Government of Pakistan's NADRA Pakistan Online Visa System (POVS) at visa.nadra.gov.pk. This is a significant recent change: effective 1 January 2026, Pakistan suspended both its Visa on Arrival (VOA) and the previously free Visa Prior to Arrival (VPA) fast-track facilities that had served citizens of around 126 nationalities, including the UK. Travelers can no longer obtain a quick approval at the airport or a free pre-arrival authorization, and must instead complete a standard paid eVisa application with full supporting documents. The tourist eVisa for UK nationals carries a fee in the region of USD 35-60 (single-entry tourist visas for UK/US/Canada applicants sit at the higher end, around USD 60), is generally valid for 3 months, and is most commonly issued as single-entry, with multiple-entry options available.
