France to South Africa visa requirements

Your passport must be valid for at least 30 days after the planned date of leaving South Africa and have two blank pages. A stay beyond 90 days may be extended for up to three more months only under conditions, with the request made at least 60 days before expiry. Work, study, internship, volunteering, residence, and other non-visitor purposes require the correct visa before departure. The South African ETA portal is live, but the official visa-exemption rule still covers French ordinary passport holders; no mandatory ETA requirement for French visa-exempt visitors was found on 2026-06-20. Yellow fever vaccination proof is required only when arriving from, or transiting more than 12 hours through, a yellow-fever-risk country.
