France to New Zealand visa requirements

French ordinary passport holders are visa-waiver visitors for New Zealand, but must get an NZeTA before travel. For visits, pay NZD 17 via app or NZD 23 via web, plus the NZD 100 IVL. France is on New Zealand's visa-waiver list. French ordinary passport holders can visit New Zealand without applying for a visitor visa first, but must hold an approved NZeTA linked to the same passport before boarding. The official NZeTA fee is NZD 17 through the mobile app or NZD 23 through the website, and most visitors also pay the NZD 100 International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy at the same time. On arrival, eligible visa-waiver visitors may be granted a Visitor Visa for up to 3 months per visit, with a total limit of 6 months in any 12-month period. The NZeTA is valid for up to 2 years for multiple trips, and Immigration New Zealand says to allow up to 72 hours for processing. Travellers also need a passport valid at least 3 months after planned departure from New Zealand, a paid onward or return ticket, sufficient funds, and a New Zealand Traveller Declaration. Transit through Auckland can also require an NZeTA, but transit passengers normally do not pay the IVL.
