Do France passport holders need a visa to visit GR?

No visa is required. As an EU citizen, a French passport (or national ID card) holder enjoys freedom of movement and can travel, stay, work, and live in Greece without any visa, ETIAS, or time limit. France and Greece are both member states of the European Union and the Schengen Area. Under the EU principle of freedom of movement, French citizens may enter Greece with only a valid French passport or national identity card. No visa is needed, the Schengen 90/180-day short-stay limit does not apply to EU citizens, and there is no maximum length of stay. ETIAS, the upcoming European travel authorisation, applies only to visa-exempt non-EU nationals and will never be required of French citizens. The only practical requirement is carrying a valid travel document (passport or EU national ID card). Travellers who intend to reside in Greece for more than three months are simply asked to register with local authorities, but no entry visa or permit is involved.
