Finland to Vietnam visa requirements

Finnish citizens can enter Vietnam visa-free for up to 45 days. Resolution 44/NQ-CP keeps Finland in Vietnam's unilateral exemption from 15 Mar 2025 through 14 Mar 2028. Finnish passport holders can enter Vietnam visa-free for a temporary stay of up to 45 days from the date of entry. Vietnam MFA's exemption list and Resolution 44/NQ-CP list Finland among the 12 countries covered by this unilateral exemption, regardless of passport type or entry purpose, provided the traveler meets Vietnam's entry conditions. Vietnam's Ministry of Public Security says unilateral visa-exempt travelers need a passport valid for at least 6 months and that the old rule requiring 30 days between visa-free entries was removed by Law 51/2019/QH14. For stays beyond 45 days, use Vietnam's official eVisa system at evisa.gov.vn; Vietnam Immigration says eVisas are valid for a maximum of 90 days and can be single or multiple entry, with the older immigration portal directing applicants to evisa.gov.vn and thithucdientu.gov.vn. Paid work, study, residence, or other regulated activities may still require the correct Vietnamese permit, sponsor, or visa category even when the short entry itself is visa-exempt.
