Spain to Pakistan visa requirements

Spanish ordinary passport holders need an e-visa to visit Pakistan for tourism. Apply online before travel through Pakistan's Online Visa System (NADRA POVS) at visa.nadra.gov.pk. There is no visa-free entry and no visa on arrival. A Spain (ES) ordinary passport holder traveling to Pakistan for tourism must obtain an electronic tourist visa (e-visa) in advance through the Pakistan Online Visa System (POVS), operated by NADRA at visa.nadra.gov.pk. Spain is among the European nationalities eligible to apply online. The application is fully electronic: there is no embassy interview required for the standard tourist e-visa, and an approval is delivered by email to be printed and presented on arrival. Importantly, a major policy change took effect on 1 January 2026: Pakistan suspended its free "Visa Prior to Arrival" (VPA) program that previously covered roughly 126 nationalities (including Spain). All formerly eligible travelers must now apply for and pay for the standard tourist e-visa. For most EU/European nationals including Spain the tourist e-visa fee is around USD 35, the visa is typically single-entry with a validity period of about 3 months and a stay of up to 90 days, and processing usually takes 7-20 business days. A passport valid at least 6 months beyond the intended stay, a recent photo, hotel booking or invitation, travel itinerary and proof of funds are required. Pakistan is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Travelers should confirm current fees and conditions on the official NADRA portal before applying, as visa policy has changed recently.
