Spain to Namibia visa requirements

Spanish passport holders need a visa for Namibia. Since 1 April 2025, Spain lost its visa-free status (lack of reciprocity) and now must obtain a visa on arrival for NAD 1,600, or apply online in advance at eservices.mhaiss.gov.na. It is a single-entry tourist visa allowing a stay of up to 90 days. As of 2 June 2026, ordinary Spanish passport holders require a visa to enter Namibia for tourism. Until 31 March 2025, Spain was on Namibia's visa-exemption list, but on 1 April 2025 Namibia withdrew visa-free entry from 33 mostly European, North American and Oceanian countries (including Spain) citing the absence of reciprocal visa-waiver agreements. Spanish travellers now obtain a visa on arrival at the main ports of entry (Hosea Kutako International Airport in Windhoek, Walvis Bay International Airport and major land borders) for NAD 1,600 (roughly EUR 82 / USD 88) for non-African Union nationals. The visa is single-entry for tourism, permits a stay of up to 90 days, and is valid for up to three months from issue. Namibia strongly recommends applying online in advance through the Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security e-services portal (eservices.mhaiss.gov.na) to speed processing; this online channel functions as a pre-arrival visa-on-arrival application rather than a true e-visa with a separate entry permit. Travellers should carry a passport valid at least six months with three blank pages, proof of onward travel and accommodation, and sufficient funds. Namibia is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply here.
