Spain to Equatorial Guinea visa requirements

Spanish ordinary passport holders need an eVisa to visit Equatorial Guinea. Apply online before travel via the official portal, pay USD 75, and arrive through Malabo International Airport. Equatorial Guinea requires Spanish ordinary passport holders to obtain a visa before travel; there is no visa-free or visa-on-arrival channel for Spain despite the countries' shared colonial history. Since 1 July 2023, Equatorial Guinea operates an electronic visa (eVisa) system that nearly all visitors must use. Spanish tourists apply online through the official eVisa portal, upload supporting documents, pay the USD 75 processing fee, and receive approval typically within 24-72 hours (allow up to 3-6 business days). The approved eVisa is generally single-entry, valid for up to 90 days from issue, and permits a stay of up to 90 days. A critical condition is that eVisa holders MUST enter the country through Malabo International Airport. Entry also requires a passport valid at least six months, an International Certificate of Vaccination (yellow fever, and frequently polio is checked), proof of accommodation, a confirmed return/onward ticket, and evidence of sufficient funds. Spain is not among the few visa-exempt nationalities (Barbados, Tunisia, Turkey, UAE) or the CEMAC bloc, so the eVisa is mandatory for ordinary Spanish passports.
