Do Germany passport holders need a visa to visit KZ?

German ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for Kazakhstan. You may enter visa-free for tourism and stay up to 30 calendar days per entry. As of 30 May 2026, Germany is on Kazakhstan's visa-free list. Holders of an ordinary German passport may enter Kazakhstan without a visa for tourism or business and stay up to 30 calendar days per entry, with multiple entries allowed. The total cumulative stay under the visa-free regime should not exceed 90 calendar days within any rolling 180-day period. No visa, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival is required for a short tourist visit. Your passport should be valid for the duration of your stay (carriers commonly require at least 6 months validity). If you stay in a hotel, your arrival is registered automatically; otherwise the host must notify migration services within 3 business days of arrival. Kazakhstan is not in the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 rules and ETIAS do not apply to this destination.
