Canada to Türkiye visa requirements
Canadian ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa or e-visa to visit Türkiye for tourism. You can enter visa-free for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. As of 20 June 2026, holders of an ordinary Canadian passport are visa-exempt for tourist visits to Türkiye. They may stay up to 90 days within any rolling 180-day period without any visa, e-visa, or visa-on-arrival. This is confirmed by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which states that Canadian ordinary passport holders are exempt up to 90 days in any 180-day period, and by the Government of Canada travel advice, which says a tourism visa is not required for stays up to 90 days in 180. Canada also states that business, work, student and medical visas are required, so travellers going for business, employment, study or medical treatment should verify the proper visa before travel. Your regular Canadian passport must be valid at least 150 days from the date you enter Türkiye. To stay beyond the visa-exempt period, apply through the Turkish e-residence system for the residence permit type you meet before your legal stay expires. Canadian official passport holders require a visa, and Turkish-Canadian dual citizens should enter on a Turkish passport.
