🇨🇦CANADA🇳🇿NEW ZEALANDCA-NZ Do Canada passport holders need a visa to visit New Zealand?
Canadian passport holders do not need a visa for short tourist visits to New Zealand, but they must obtain an NZeTA (New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority) online before travel and pay the International Visitor Levy (IVL). Canada is a New Zealand visa-waiver country, so Canadian ordinary passport holders can visit for tourism without a visa for up to 3 months at a time. However, since the scheme launched, all visa-waiver travellers must request an NZeTA (electronic travel authority) before boarding and pay the NZ$100 International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL) at the same time. The NZeTA is requested online via the official Immigration New Zealand website or the official NZeTA mobile app, is valid for up to 2 years with multiple entries, and is usually approved within 72 hours (often minutes). Total cost is NZ$117 via the app or NZ$123 via the website (NZeTA request fee plus IVL). Travellers must also complete the free New Zealand Traveller Declaration (NZTD) before arrival, hold a passport valid at least 3 months beyond the intended departure date, and be able to show onward/return tickets and sufficient funds.
