Do Brazil passport holders need a visa to visit PL?
Brazilian ordinary passport holders can travel to Poland visa-free for tourism, staying up to 90 days within any 180-day period across the entire Schengen Area. No visa or pre-travel authorization is required as of 31 May 2026 (ETIAS has been postponed to at least 2027). Brazil and the European Union have a reciprocal short-stay visa-waiver arrangement, so holders of an ordinary Brazilian passport may enter Poland and the rest of the Schengen Area without a visa for tourism, business or family visits. The allowance is the standard Schengen short-stay limit: a maximum of 90 days of presence within any rolling 180-day period, counted across all Schengen states combined (not per country). The passport must have been issued within the previous 10 years and remain valid for at least 3 months beyond the planned departure date. At the external border a traveler may be asked to show proof of accommodation, a return or onward ticket, and sufficient funds; the trip purpose must be a short stay (work and study generally require a national visa or residence permit). The EU's ETIAS travel authorization will eventually apply to visa-exempt nationals including Brazilians, but the European Commission confirmed in early 2026 that the launch has slipped to at least 2027 because of dependencies on the Entry/Exit System (EES). Therefore, as of 31 May 2026 Brazilians need only a valid passport to fly to Poland. The companion EES biometric border system is being phased in during 2025-2026 and may add fingerprint/photo registration at first entry, but it does not require any advance application.
