Do Brazil passport holders need a visa to visit Indonesia?
Brazilian ordinary passport holders can enter Indonesia visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism, business, or medical visits — restored on 3 July 2025 under Indonesia's Visa-Free Visit (BVK) program. As of 30 May 2026, Brazilian ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for short tourist visits to Indonesia. Indonesia's Directorate General of Immigration restored visa-free entry (Bebas Visa Kunjungan / BVK) for Brazil and Turkey effective 3 July 2025, under Minister of Immigration & Corrections Regulation No. 9 of 2025 and Presidential Regulation No. 95 of 2024, on a reciprocity basis (Brazil already grants Indonesians visa-free access). The visa exemption allows a stay of up to 30 days for tourism, business meetings, or medical treatment. CRITICAL: this 30-day visa-free stay is NON-extendable and cannot be converted to another permit. Travelers who need a longer stay or the ability to extend should instead buy the paid Electronic Visa on Arrival (eVOA / B1), which costs IDR 500,000 (~USD 35), grants 30 days, and can be extended once for a further 30 days at an Indonesian immigration office. The passport must be valid at least 6 months on arrival and have a blank page. All arrivals must complete the electronic customs declaration (All Indonesia / Mobile Customs Declaration) within 3 days before arrival, and travelers to Bali must pay the Bali Tourist Levy of IDR 150,000 (~USD 10) via lovebali.baliprov.go.id.
