Do Brazil passport holders need a visa to visit HR?
Brazilian ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for short tourist trips to Croatia. Croatia is a full Schengen member (since 1 January 2023), so Brazilians may enter visa-free for up to 90 days within any 180-day period across the whole Schengen Area. Brazil holds a Schengen-wide visa-waiver agreement with the EU, and Croatia has applied the full Schengen acquis since 1 January 2023. As confirmed by the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, holders of ordinary Brazilian passports may enter Croatia without a visa for tourism, business or transit. The stay is capped at 90 days in any rolling 180-day period, and crucially this allowance is shared across ALL Schengen states, not reset per country. No visa application, fee or pre-registration is required today. The passport must be valid for at least three months beyond the intended departure date, issued within the previous 10 years, and contain at least two blank pages. The one upcoming change is ETIAS, the EU's electronic travel authorisation (around EUR 20, valid 3 years). It is targeted for launch in late 2026 (Q4) with a transitional grace period, after which Brazilian travellers will need an approved ETIAS before boarding. As of 30 May 2026 ETIAS is NOT yet mandatory, so the current verdict remains fully visa-free. Travellers should also be ready to show proof of accommodation, return/onward tickets, and sufficient funds at the border.
