Do Brazil passport holders need a visa to visit Egypt?
Brazilian ordinary passport holders need a visa for Egypt. The recommended route is the online e-Visa (USD 25 single-entry, 30-day stay). Visa on arrival is also available at Cairo and Sharm El Sheikh airports for USD 30. A Brazilian ordinary passport holder cannot enter Egypt visa-free. Brazil is on Egypt's eligible-nationality list, so travelers have two practical options for a short tourist stay. The fastest and most reliable is the official electronic visa (e-Visa) via the government portal Visa2Egypt, which costs USD 25 for a single entry and grants a stay of up to 30 days within a 90-day validity window; a multiple-entry e-Visa costs USD 60 and is valid 6 months. Brazilian nationals may also obtain a visa on arrival (VOA) at major airports — but note that since 1 March 2026 the VOA single-entry fee rose to USD 30, while the e-Visa price was unchanged. The e-Visa is recommended because it avoids airport queues and the higher VOA fee, and removes the risk of arriving at an airport that does not issue VOA. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry with at least 2 blank pages.
