United Arab Emirates to Uganda visa requirements

UAE ordinary passport holders can enter Uganda visa-free for up to 90 days. Uganda's official visa-exempt list includes the United Arab Emirates, and 2026 reporting confirms the waiver covers UAE diplomatic, special, ordinary and service passports. Carry a Yellow Fever vaccination certificate. As of 2026-06-19, holders of an ordinary United Arab Emirates passport do not need a visa to enter Uganda for tourism or short visits. Uganda's Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control lists United Arab Emirates in its general visa-exempt countries section. Uganda and the UAE signed a bilateral visa-waiver agreement on 7 May 2025 that entered into force on 10 February 2026; Ugandan government and local reporting clarify that UAE nationals holding diplomatic, special, ordinary and service passports are exempt from Uganda visas for stays of up to 90 days. This is broader than the reciprocal Ugandan side, which exempts Ugandan diplomatic and service passport holders for UAE travel. For UAE travelers entering Uganda, no eVisa application or visa-on-arrival fee is required for a short tourist stay. Travelers must still meet standard entry conditions: a passport valid for at least six months with blank pages, a valid Yellow Fever vaccination certificate, and proof of onward or return travel and sufficient funds if requested at the border. Those intending to stay longer than 90 days, work, or study should apply for the appropriate Ugandan visa or permit through Uganda's official electronic system.
