United Arab Emirates to Qatar visa requirements

UAE ordinary passport or UAE national ID holders enter Qatar visa-free as GCC citizens. No Qatar visa, Hayya entry permit, visa fee, or prior visa application is required; Abu Samra vehicle insurance/pre-registration is a separate land-border vehicle matter. UAE ordinary passport holders are GCC citizens and can enter Qatar visa-free. Visit Qatar says nationals of GCC countries, including the United Arab Emirates, do not require a visa to enter Qatar and its checker returns visa-free entry as a GCC citizen. A valid UAE passport or UAE national ID may be used for GCC travel; if using a passport, keep at least three months' validity from arrival as Qatar's general visitor benchmark. Six months is only a conservative personal buffer, not Qatar's stated GCC-citizen requirement. This exemption applies only to UAE citizens, not foreign nationals who merely reside in the UAE. Hayya is not a visa or entry-permit requirement for UAE citizens, though Hayya can be used separately for Abu Samra vehicle pre-registration. Visitors driving a non-Qatari vehicle through Abu Samra must arrange the required vehicle insurance electronically. MOPH mandatory visitor health insurance does not apply to GCC citizens, while ordinary travel insurance remains optional.
