United Arab Emirates to Montenegro visa requirements

UAE ordinary passport holders can enter Montenegro visa-free for up to 90 days. Montenegro is not in Schengen, ETIAS does not apply, and visitors must make sure their stay is registered locally. As of 18 June 2026, the Government of Montenegro says nationals of the United Arab Emirates may enter, pass through, and stay in Montenegro up to 90 days with a valid travel document, without a visa. Montenegro is not part of the Schengen Area, so the EU ETIAS system does not apply and days in Montenegro do not count against the Schengen 90/180 allowance. Montenegro's own UAE visa-regime page states only 'up to 90 days'; the U.S. Department of State explains that Montenegrin law treats 90-day stays as 90 total days in a 180-day period counted from the first entry date, so travelers should manage days conservatively on a 90/180 basis unless Montenegro publishes a more specific UAE-country note. The earlier file correctly treated UAE citizens as visa-free, but it relied on a non-official overview source and an unrelated UAE-entry visa page, and it missed the local registration requirement. Official Montenegro sources say foreign nationals entering without a visa and not using an accommodation provider must register and deregister residence in the place of stay, either with police or the local tourist organization, within 24 hours of arrival. Montenegro's tourism site adds that hotels, private accommodation, or other hosts must register guests within 12 hours, and travelers staying in several municipalities must register in each municipality where they stay for more than 24 hours. Carry a valid UAE passport, return/onward travel, accommodation or host details, sufficient funds, and travel/medical insurance.
