🇦🇪United Arab Emirates🇧🇫Burkina FasoAE-BF United Arab Emirates to Burkina Faso visa requirements
United Arab Emirates ordinary passport holders can enter Burkina Faso visa-free for short tourist visits. UAE MoFA lists normal passports as visa-free for 90 days, renewable. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory for arriving travelers aged 9 months or older, and a passport valid 6+ months is required. As of 17 June 2026, holders of an ordinary United Arab Emirates passport do not need a visa to enter Burkina Faso for tourism or short visits. UAE MoFA lists the normal passport route as visa-free, with a 90-day stay that is renewable, and also lists a UAE-Burkina Faso memorandum of understanding on visa exemption. Travellers should carry official proof of the exemption, such as the UAE MoFA travel-requirements page, in case an airline or border officer asks for documentation. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory for all arriving travellers aged 9 months or older, as Burkina Faso is a yellow-fever risk country. Burkina Faso also operates an official visa system for travellers who are not exempt; official Visa Burkina short-stay tourist fees are 33,000 CFA for single entry and 55,000 CFA for multiple entry, but those fees are not a recommended or optional route for visa-exempt UAE nationals. Burkina Faso is in West Africa and is not part of the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply. Note that the security situation in Burkina Faso is volatile: UAE MoFA warns UAE nationals against travel, and several other governments advise against all travel. Burkina Faso's withdrawal from ECOWAS became effective on 29 January 2025; ECOWAS says free-movement measures continue until further notice pending final modalities.
