🇿🇦南非(South Africa)🇸🇰斯洛伐克(Slovakia)ZA-SK 南非(South Africa) 前往 斯洛伐克(Slovakia) 签证要求
Yes, you need a visa. South African ordinary passport holders must obtain a Schengen Category C short-stay visa BEFORE traveling to Slovakia for tourism. South Africa is not on the EU visa-exempt list, so ETIAS does not apply to you, a full Schengen visa is required. Slovakia is a full member of the Schengen Area, so it issues Schengen visas. South African ordinary passport holders are NOT visa-exempt for the Schengen Area and must apply for a uniform Schengen short-stay visa (Type C) before departure. The visa permits stays of up to 90 days within any rolling 180-day period across the entire Schengen zone. Applications for a trip whose sole or main destination is Slovakia are lodged at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Pretoria, or at the VFS Global centre in Cape Town for residents of the Eastern, Northern and Western Cape. Biometrics (fingerprints and photo) are taken in person by appointment. As of 11 June 2026 the standard adult Schengen visa fee rose from EUR 80 to EUR 90. Because the EU's ETIAS travel authorisation applies only to visa-exempt nationalities, it does NOT replace the visa requirement for South Africans; they will continue to need a full Schengen visa. Applications must be submitted at least 15 calendar days before travel and may be lodged up to 6 months in advance.
