🇿🇦南非(South Africa)🇳🇴挪威(Norway)ZA-NO 南非(South Africa) 前往 挪威(Norway) 签证要求
South African ordinary passport holders need a Schengen short-stay (C) visa to visit Norway for tourism. Apply through VFS Global in South Africa before you travel. ETIAS does not apply to South Africans. Norway is part of the Schengen Area, and South Africa is NOT on the EU's visa-exempt list. This means ordinary South African passport holders must obtain a Schengen short-stay visa (Type C) before traveling to Norway for tourism or a short visit. The visa permits a stay of up to 90 days within any rolling 180-day period across the entire Schengen Area. Applications for Norway are handled by the Norwegian Embassy in Pretoria and must be lodged through VFS Global visa application centres in South Africa (Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban). The standard consular fee is EUR 90 for adults (around R1,800, payable in rand at the prevailing rate), plus a VFS Global service charge. Standard processing is 15 calendar days but may extend up to 45 days in individual cases. A key 2024-2026 clarification: the EU's ETIAS travel authorisation, expected to launch in late 2026, applies ONLY to visa-exempt nationalities. Because South Africa requires a full Schengen visa, ETIAS will have no effect on South African travelers, who will continue to need the C-visa. Holders of South African diplomatic and official (service) passports are exempt from the visa requirement, but this guide covers ordinary passports, which are NOT exempt.
