🇿🇦南非(South Africa)🇬🇦加蓬(Gabon)ZA-GA 南非(South Africa) 前往 加蓬(Gabon) 签证要求
South African ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for short tourist visits to Gabon. They are granted visa-free entry for up to 30 days, which can be extended locally to 90 days. As of mid-2026, holders of an ordinary South African passport can travel to Gabon for tourism without a visa. Gabon added South Africa to its visa-exemption list as part of a broader visa-free policy rolled out in 2024 to make the country more accessible to travelers. On arrival, South Africans receive a stamp permitting a stay of up to 30 days, which is extendable to a maximum of 90 days through Gabon's immigration authority (DGDI). No prior application, eVisa, or fee is required for the standard 30-day visa-free stay. Travelers should still carry a passport valid for at least six months with blank pages, proof of onward/return travel, proof of accommodation or funds, and a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate, which is mandatory for entry into Gabon. Gabon also operates an eVisa system (evisa.dgdi.ga) and visa-on-arrival, but these are for nationalities that are NOT visa-exempt; South Africans do not need them for a short tourist stay. Gabon is in Central Africa and is not part of the Schengen area, so Schengen/ETIAS rules do not apply. Because some commercial visa websites incorrectly market a paid eVisa to all nationalities, travelers should rely on the official DGDI portal and their foreign ministry. If staying beyond 30 days, plan to request an extension locally before the initial stay expires.
