South African ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa to visit Belize for tourism. You receive a visitor stamp on arrival, normally valid for up to 30 days, which can be extended at a Belize Immigration office. South Africa is on Belize's visa-exemption list, so holders of an ordinary South African passport may travel to Belize for tourism without obtaining a visa in advance and without a visa-on-arrival fee. On arrival, an immigration officer grants a tourist entry stamp, typically for up to 30 days. The stay can be extended in-country at the Belize Department of Immigration & Nationality Services for a monthly fee. There is no eVisa or ETA system for Belize. To be admitted you must hold a passport valid for the duration of your stay (carriers and immigration commonly expect validity well beyond arrival), proof of onward/return travel, and evidence of sufficient funds for the visit.
