🇺🇸美国(United States)🇱🇺卢森堡(Luxembourg)US-LU 美国(United States) 前往 卢森堡(Luxembourg) 签证要求
Visa-free up to 90 days in any 180-day period across Schengen. EES is fully operational; ETIAS is not required yet and is scheduled for Q4 2026 with a EUR 20 fee. Luxembourg is a Schengen country, and U.S. ordinary passport holders may visit visa-free for short tourism, business, family, or similar non-work stays. The limit is up to 90 days within any rolling 180-day period across all Schengen countries combined, not 90 days per country. Your passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond your planned departure from the EU/Schengen area and should have been issued within the last 10 years. As of 21 June 2026, no visa or ETIAS authorization is required before short travel to Luxembourg. The EU Entry/Exit System (EES) became fully operational across Schengen on 10 April 2026, replacing passport stamps with digital records of entries, exits, refusals of entry, passport data, facial image, and fingerprints at the external border. ETIAS is scheduled to start in the last quarter of 2026; once operational, U.S. citizens and other visa-exempt nationals will need an approved ETIAS authorization before travel. ETIAS will cost EUR 20 for most applicants aged 18-70, be valid for up to 3 years or until passport expiry, and will not change the 90/180 stay limit. Border officers may still ask for proof of sufficient funds, a return or onward ticket, accommodation details, and the purpose of travel. For stays beyond 90 days, work, study, or residence, arrange the appropriate Luxembourg long-stay authorization or residence process instead of relying on visa-free entry.
