🇺🇸美国(United States)🇨🇿捷克(Czechia)US-CZ 美国(United States) 前往 捷克(Czechia) 签证要求
US ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa to visit Czechia for tourism. You can enter visa-free and stay up to 90 days within any 180-day period across the entire Schengen Area. As of 2026-06-21, ETIAS is not yet required (it is expected to start in the last quarter of 2026), but the EES biometric border system is fully operational. Czechia (the Czech Republic) is part of the Schengen Area, and US citizens holding an ordinary passport are visa-exempt for short stays for tourism, business, or visiting family. No visa or pre-travel authorization is currently required: you simply present a valid passport at the external Schengen border. The key limit is the Schengen 90/180 rule: total stays in the entire Schengen Area must not exceed 90 days in any rolling 180-day period, and this clock cannot be reset by hopping to a neighboring Schengen country. Your passport should be valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure and have been issued within the last 10 years. Czech authorities may ask for proof of sufficient funds, onward/return travel, accommodation, and travel medical insurance. Two EU systems affect this route. The Entry/Exit System (EES), which records biometrics (facial image and fingerprints) at the border, became fully operational on 10 April 2026 and replaces manual passport stamping. ETIAS, a mandatory pre-travel authorization (similar to the US ESTA), is expected to start in the last quarter of 2026; once operational it will cost EUR 20 for applicants aged 18-70, be valid for up to three years or until passport expiry, and be required only after launch and applicable transition/grace periods. Until ETIAS becomes operational and required, US travelers remain fully visa-free and need no online authorization.
