🇺🇸美国(United States)🇨🇭瑞士(Switzerland)US-CH 美国(United States) 前往 瑞士(Switzerland) 签证要求
US passport holders do NOT need a visa to visit Switzerland for tourism or short business visits. You can enter visa-free for up to 90 days within any 180-day period under the Schengen short-stay rules. ETIAS is not required as of 19 June 2026. Switzerland is a member of the Schengen Area, and US ordinary passport holders are visa-exempt for short stays. You may enter for tourism, business, or family visits without applying for any visa in advance and stay up to 90 days within any rolling 180-day period. This 90/180 allowance is shared across the entire Schengen Area (not just Switzerland), so days spent in other Schengen countries count toward the same limit. Your passport must have been issued within the previous 10 years and be valid for at least 3 months beyond your planned departure from the Schengen Area; the US State Department recommends 6 months' validity as a buffer. At the border you should be able to show proof of onward/return travel, sufficient funds, and accommodation details if asked. The European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) is expected to launch in the last quarter of 2026, after which visa-exempt travelers including US citizens will need to obtain an online authorization before travel; it is not required as of 19 June 2026. ETIAS will cost EUR 20 for most adult applicants once live, with age exemptions. The EU Entry/Exit System (EES) has been fully operational at Schengen external borders since 10 April 2026 and may involve fingerprint/photo capture at entry or exit, but it does not change the visa-free status.
