A Taiwan ordinary passport holder needs a visa to enter Trinidad and Tobago for tourism. There is no visa-free or visa-on-arrival channel for Taiwanese nationals. Trinidad and Tobago now operates an online eVisa system (Ministry of Homeland Security), so most applicants apply digitally rather than visiting a mission in person. Trinidad and Tobago's Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs official visa-requirements matrix lists "Republic of China (Taiwan)" under Business/Vacation - Yes (visa required), with the remark "Visa Waiver not to be issued without prior approval" (Statutory Instrument SI 33/89). Taiwan is not part of the CARICOM, EU/Schengen, or other visa-waiver groups that Trinidad and Tobago exempts. Therefore a Taiwan ordinary passport holder must obtain an entry visa before travel. Since 2024 Trinidad and Tobago has rolled out an online eVisa platform run by the Ministry of Homeland Security (Immigration Division) at evisa.ttservices.online, which is the practical route for nationals who require a visa. Applicants supply a passport valid at least six months, a digital photo, return ticket, proof of accommodation and funds, and pay the visa fee online. Immigration fees were revised effective 1 January 2026 (the first major revision since 2007). Trinidad and Tobago is in the Caribbean and is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Be aware that holding a visa or eVisa does not guarantee entry; the final decision rests with the Immigration Officer at the port of entry.
