Taiwan (ROC) ordinary passport holders need a visa for Namibia. They are not visa-exempt, but since 22 September 2023 they can apply online through Namibia's official e-Services portal (the eVisa / online visa-on-arrival system). Apply before you fly. Namibia overhauled its visa regime on 1 April 2025, ending visa-free entry for dozens of nationalities and rolling out an online Visa-on-Arrival (VoA) / eVisa platform run by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security. Taiwan (Republic of China) is not on Namibia's visa-exemption list, so an ROC ordinary passport holder must obtain a visa for tourism. The practical channel is the official e-Services portal at eservices.mhaiss.gov.na, where ROC passport holders have been able to apply for a holiday/tourist visa online since 22 September 2023. The tourist visa is single-entry, typically valid for 3 months from issue, and allows a stay of up to 90 days, while the online VoA grants up to 30 days. The standard government fee for non-African travellers is N$1,600, with an additional N$400 service surcharge if you apply manually at the immigration counter on arrival rather than online in advance. Because Taiwan does not appear on the visa-free or guaranteed visa-on-arrival lists, the conservative and correct guidance is to secure an approved eVisa online before departure to avoid being denied boarding or entry. Namibia is in southern Africa and is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
