🇹🇼台湾(Taiwan (Chinese Taipei))🇮🇸冰岛(Iceland)TW-IS 台湾(Taiwan (Chinese Taipei)) 前往 冰岛(Iceland) 签证要求
Taiwan ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for Iceland for tourist stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period, provided the passport contains an identity card number. Iceland is in the Schengen Area, so the 90/180 short-stay rule applies across all Schengen states combined. Iceland is a Schengen Area member, and Taiwan was added to the EU's visa-exemption (Annex II) list in 2011. As of 2026-06-01, a Taiwanese ordinary-passport holder can enter Iceland and the wider Schengen Area visa-free for short stays — up to 90 days in any rolling 180-day period — for tourism or business (no employment). The one firm condition is that the Taiwan passport must include the holder's national identity card number; passports without an ID number are not covered by the waiver and require a visa. The 90-day allowance is cumulative across ALL Schengen countries, not per country, and is counted on a rolling 180-day basis. The European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) is scheduled to launch in the last quarter of 2026 (Q4 2026). Once live (after any transitional grace period), visa-exempt Taiwanese travelers will need to obtain an ETIAS authorisation (around EUR 20, valid 3 years, multiple entry) before travel — but it is NOT yet required as of this verification date. Travelers should still carry proof of onward/return tickets, sufficient funds, accommodation, and ideally travel medical insurance, as border officers can request these.
