Taiwan ordinary passport holders need an eVisa to visit Equatorial Guinea. Apply online before travel through the official eVisa system (launched 1 July 2023), pay the ~US$75 fee, and arrive via Malabo International Airport. Equatorial Guinea is not in the Schengen area and does not offer visa-free entry or visa-on-arrival to Taiwan ordinary passport holders. Since 1 July 2023, the country has operated a universal eVisa system that is open to applicants of all nationalities, including Taiwan. The tourist eVisa is single-entry, permits a short stay (up to 90 days as approved), and carries a government fee of approximately US$75. Applicants must submit a passport valid at least 6 months, a passport photo, proof of accommodation, return/onward tickets, and a mandatory yellow fever vaccination certificate (polio vaccination documentation may also be requested). Approved eVisa holders must enter through Malabo International Airport, where immigration issues the actual visa stamp. Government processing is typically 24-72 hours, though third-party agencies quote longer multi-tier timelines. Because Taiwan is not on Equatorial Guinea's visa-exemption or visa-on-arrival lists, the eVisa is the correct and conservative channel for a short tourist visit.
