Taiwan ordinary passport holders enjoy visa-free entry to the Dominican Republic for tourist purposes for stays of up to 30 days, per the Dominican visa policy and the General Directorate of Migration (Dirección General de Migración). There is no visa, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival to obtain. However, every traveler regardless of nationality must complete the free electronic E-Ticket (eticket.migracion.gob.do) before checking in for the flight — it combines the immigration, customs, and tourist-card declarations into one form. For air arrivals the legacy USD 10 tourist card is automatically included in the ticket price (charged with airfare since 25 April 2018), and the USD 20 departure tax is likewise pre-paid in most airfares. Travelers should carry a passport valid at least 6 months (Dominican tourism authority recommendation), proof of onward/return travel, and evidence of sufficient funds. Stays beyond 30 days are possible by paying a sliding-scale overstay fee at departure or requesting a formal extension from Migración. The Dominican Republic is not in the Schengen area, so Schengen/ETIAS rules do not apply.
