Taiwan ordinary passport holders can enter Brunei visa-free for tourist stays of up to 14 days, effective June 23, 2025. No visa is needed, but a free E-Arrival Card must be registered online before arrival. As of June 23, 2025, Brunei Darussalam grants Taiwan (ROC) ordinary passport holders 14-day visa-free entry for tourism and short visits, replacing the previous visa-on-arrival arrangement. The passport must be valid for at least six months on entry. Entry is permitted at any designated air, land, or sea entry point. Although no visa is required, every foreign national (including Taiwanese visitors) must complete Brunei's mandatory E-Arrival Card online registration via imm.gov.bn within 72 hours before arrival; this registration is free and is separate from the visa rules. Onward/return tickets and proof of sufficient funds may be checked at the border. Stays beyond 14 days require a visa obtained in advance. This change was confirmed by Royal Brunei Airlines' official announcement and is reflected by Taiwan's Bureau of Consular Affairs (MOFA).
